:On sale, club monaco's shirts are some of best fitting I've found for the price and are very accommodating of smaller chest sizes.  The also make very tasteful plaids.  That said, the quality is inconsistent and stray threads are common.  I've also seen shirts with rippling along the seams and inconsistent neck holes.  So, quality control isn't great as far as the shirting goes, but some of them are really very nice, you just have to ferret out the good from the bad.  The knit sweaters, however, are pretty nice as is, surprisingly, their denim.  Sizing on the shirts is as listed on their site, pant sizes are pretty far off.  A pair of 28's measures as a 32".

Synopsis

Club Monaco is a mid-priced retailer currently owned by Polo Ralph Lauren (1999). Originally founded with the opening of a Toronto store on Queen Street West by designers Alfred Sung and Joe Mimran, Club Monaco was known for black and white styles, but has since expanded the color palette of it's selection.

The company bills itself as "urban casual," a style, it says, is a "sophisticated play of opposites: mixing vintage with new, eclectic with minimal." Club Monaco carries well tailored classics in addition to more experimental styles such as inverted knits and hemp blend tees. Club Monaco's pricing places it in line with J Crew, compared with whom its overall aesthetic is more refined. Fabric and construction quality is often questionable, making it hard to recommend paying full price on items.

Fortunately, the store offers regular "30% off Already Reduced Merchandise" sales, a standing 20% student discount, and free economy shipping.

Has or currently carries items from Filson, Wood & Faulk, Sunspel, Barbour, Aether, Gloverall, 3sixteen, J. Panther, Chapman, Ernest Alexander, Topo, Smathers & Branson, Rancourt, Mark Mcnairy, Clarks, Persol, and London Undercover.

On sale, club monaco's shirts are some of best fitting I've found for the price and are very accommodating of smaller chest sizes.
